A swing exchange similar to Whistle Stop we host every spring. LAFLX focuses more on community and having fun than lessons, and features a new theme each year, which is usually a pun on the name!

WHISTLE STOP (2023)
Weekend workshops are a staple in swing dancing communities, and PNT puts on our own called Whistle Stop! The event lasts for three days and boasts lessons with nationally acclaimed instructors, live music, and competitions. Whistle Stop has been a long-standing tradition for over 20 years, so when I took over advertising last year, I wanted to give it a permanent look and logo that would be recognizable to dancers all over the Midwest for years to come.

Samples of the work I've done as the graphic designer and social media manager for my club, Purdue Night Train. PNT is Purdue University's swing dancing club and one of the largest student-run organizations on campus with over 100 active members. Outreach and promotion is important to any club but especially to us, as we strive to connect not only with our own student community but with swing dancers across the country. In my ongoing two years of leadership with this club I’ve made it my mission to give my community a visual identity that is memorable, cohesive, and reflects the passion we have for swing.
